Walter Czerpak, Sr.

Walter J. Czerpak, Sr ., 86, of Forbes Road, passed away on September 9, 2021, surrounded by his loving and devoted family.  He was born November 6, 1934 in Forbes Road the sixteenth child of the late Lawrence and Anna Maruscak Czerpak.  Walter was employed by Jeannette Glass Company for 32 years and continued his employment with EDM Services until his retirement in 2000.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Ortha M. Bungard Czerpak, son in law, John L. Hunter, and the following brothers and sisters, Thomas, Anthony, Henry, Andrew, Lawrence, Joseph, Steve, Frankie, Johnny, Stanley, Mary Hayden, Katie Nichols, Sophie Shedlock and Anna Yasurek.  He is survived by five children, Anna Marie Hunter, Walter Jr. (Cathy), Traci Showalter (John), Ron (Diane) and Greg (Maggi); six grandchildren, Dan (Heather), Kevin (Stephanie), David, Michael (Trish), Amanda (J.C.) and newest addition to the family Campbell Marie; two great grandchildren, Shawn and Isabella; a brother, Edward and numerous nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Walter, Sunday from 4 to 8p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.  A funeral service will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the Pantalone Funeral Home with Fr. Alfred. Patterson, O.S.B., officiating.  Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
