Shirley Knackstedt

Shirley J. Knackstedt , 86, of Latrobe, died Monday, December 21, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living.  She was born July 6, 1934, in Syracuse, New York, a daughter of the late Richard Grimm and Gladys Cleveland Grimm.  Shirley was a compassionate spirit who enjoyed caring for others.  She led a sewing group that crafted quilts for the less fortunate.  She was also a loving mother who raised two wonderful children.  Before assuming the role of housewife, Shrley worked at the National Bank and Trust Company of Norwich New York.  In addition to her parents, she was recently preceded in death by her husband, William R. Knackstedt on December 5, 2020.  Shirley is survived by her children, Linda Stubbs and Lee Knackstedt; and her grandchildren, Autumn Stubbs, and Kayley, Amara and Torin Knackstedt.  Condolences may be sent to Linda Stubbs, 713 Idewyld Drive, Middletown, DE 19709.  There will be no public viewing or services.  Shirley’s family has entrusted her care to the CLEMENT L.
