Obituary

Richard A. Varsek, 82, of Greensburg, died Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021. He was born June 21, 1939, in Waukegan, Ill., a son of the late Stanley and Anna Taulu Varsek. After working at Brooks Fashion Store as a regional manager, Richard became a real estate agent and worked at both Prudential and Northwood Realty. He was a veteran of the Army. He was a loving man who was deeply devoted to his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Varsek. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 63 years, Barbara A. Fike Varsek; three daughters, Donna Ritenour, of Greensburg, Sandra Kulsic (Chuck) and Susan Mesich (Brian), all of Jeannette; six grandchildren, Brittany Ritenour, Krystal Blake (Dan), Tyler and Kelsey Hood and Breanna and Zakary Mesich; a great-grandson, Jax Hood; an expected great-granddaughter in 2022; three siblings, Kathie Brady (Chuck), Ginny Kukla, all of Waukegan, Ill., and Duane "Dewey" Varsek (Diane), of Wildwood, Ill.; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Snuggles. There will be no public services at this time. Richard's family has entrusted his care to the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020.
