Mary Elizabeth Henry

Mary Elizabeth (Danko) Henry , 87, of Middleburg Heights, OH, formerly of Greensburg, died Monday, December 28, 2020.  She was born August 11, 1933, in Windber, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Elko Danko.  She was known as Mickey.  Prior to moving closer to family (nephew John Henry) in Ohio after Emmett's death, she was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and St. Vincent Oblates.  She was an active volunteer for over 30 years at St. Emma's Monastery in Greensburg, Pa.  Both Mary and her husband Emmett, lived at the Monastic Guest House at St. Emma’s for over 5 years. They not only welcomed the guests but kept the Guest House spotlessly clean.  She was a seamstress for over 25 years.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Charles Henry in May of 2019; two brothers, Joseph and George Danko; and sister, Katherine Ensminger.  Mary Elizabeth is survived by her two brothers-in-law, Daniel Henry (Mary Elizabeth) and David Henry (Carol) all of New Stanton; nephews, Bruce and Edward Danko; niece, Marcia Hankey; and several other devoted nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mary Elizabeth, Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Clement L.  Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W.
