Mary Ann Nalevanko

Mary Ann (Messaros) Nalevanko, 90, of Crabtree, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, in the Redstone Highlands-Greensburg. She was born Nov. 4, 1932, in Hannastown, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Liptak Messaros. Mary Ann was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and in her earlier years was a PTA member of the Crabtree VFD and worked for a time as a waitress at Carbone's Restaurant. She enjoyed gardening and canning and cooking for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Nalevanko Sr.; two brothers, Michael and Joseph Messaros; and a sister, Dorothy Kelly. She is survived by her two sons, Bruce Nalevanko and John J. Nalevanko Jr. (Janet Luci), all of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Bruce Nalevanko Jr. ( Brittany Waterhouse), Courtney, Ryan and Jordan Nalevanko, Douglas Knight and Stormy Knight Ray (Richard); five great-grandchildren, Zoah, Kyrie, Lilly, Gwen and Milo; a devoted and loving sister, Betty Cam and her daughter, Maryann, of Acme; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mary Ann, from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the CLEMENT L. Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Thursday followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree with Father Justin Matro O.S.B. celebrating.
