John B. "Jack" Ciampini Jr., 88, of Youngwood, died Monday, May 2, 2022, in the St. Anne Home. He was born May 14, 1933, in Youngwood, a son of the late John B. and Perina Tiberi Ciampini Sr. Jack was a member of Holy Cross Church, in Youngwood, the Knights of Columbus and served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an avid woodworker and was a retired supervisor from Robertshaw and a member of their retirees’ organization. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine "Kay" Manzi Ciampini; and sister, Joan B. Derco. He is survived by three children, Barbara Ciampini (Rick Hoyle), of Greensburg, Jim Ciampini (Amy), of Ashburn, Va., and John Ciampini (Carla), of Hanover, Md.; four grandchildren, Nathan Hoyle (Nate Hanley), Andrew, Courtney and Nic Ciampini; fiancee, Mary Ann Popovich, of Greensburg; sister-in-law, Gloria Manzi, formerly of Crabtree; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Jack at his funeral service at 2:30 p.m. Friday, followed by visitation to be held from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Family reflections and military honors will immediately follow at 5:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Private interment will be in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. We will miss our Dad's laughter the most. He loved to make people laugh, he loved his woodworking, he loved his friends, his family, our Mother and Maryann, he loved his children, but his greatest pride and joy came from his love for his four grandchildren.
