Frances Celesnik

Frances A. (Perne) Celesnik , 93, of Greensburg, died Saturday, August 28, 2021. She was born March 9, 1928, in Irwin, a daughter of the late John and Anna Kushar Perne. Frances retired from the former Sheraton Inn. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family and friends and spending quality time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Slyvster P. Celesnik; a son, Dennis G. Celesnik, and ten siblings; John Adamic, Mollie Zgonc, Anne Kristolawsky, Matilda Volk, Barbara Wolanski, Helen Glitsky, Clara Zubaty, Katie Koltalo, Alvin Perne and Jane Lutrell. She was the last surviving member of her siblings. She is survived by her nine children, Ron Celesnik (JoAnn), of Sellersburg, Ind., Sylvester P. Celesnik, Jr. (Sharon), of Vienna, Va., Raymond Celesnik (Pat) of Derry, Eugene Celesnik, of Rehoboth, Del,. Alan Celesnik, of Latrobe, Elaine Vido, of Oxnard, Calif., Darryl Celesnik (Stacey), of Armburst, Kevin Celesnik, of Washington and Lavone Tempo, of Greensburg; eight grandchildren, Erik Celesnik (Faith), Megan Robinson (Paul), Ryan Celesnik (Shannon), Kristen Hennette (Troy), Amanda Michelone (Chris), Danielle Celesnik, and Allison and Robbie Tempo; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her canine companion, Taz. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Frances from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Pantalone Funeral Home. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. Please be prepared to adhere to all current CDC guidelines.
