November 12, 1933 — March 26, 2021

Greensburg

Faye Svetkovich , 87, of Greensburg, passed away March 26, 2021, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. She was born November 12th, 1933, in Luxor, a daughter of the late Jake and Daisy (Leonard) Ruffner.  Faye was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She had a sense of humor that was contagious and often on full display in laughter-filled conversation with her four sisters.  Faye worked for numerous years as an office manager for PennDot and was employed by several offices with Westmoreland County.  Faye enjoyed vacationing, and she looked forward to the trips she and her husband took with the Traveling Moose and the trips she and her daughter took to Florida every January.  The annual Christmas Eve gathering she hosted, an event anticipated by her family, was filled with laughter, good food, and games set to a soundtrack of country music.  A perfectionist by nature, Faye’s home was always spotless as she found enjoyment in being an immaculate housekeeper.  She was a member of St. Bartholomew Parish, Crabtree, where she attended Mass regularly on Sunday for many years.  In addition to her parents, Faye was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Svetkovich Sr.; three brothers, James, Jack and William; and four sisters, Henrietta, Gladys, Annabelle and Mary Jane.  She is survived by a son, Joseph Svetkovich Jr. and wife, Anita, of Greensburg; a daughter, Terri Svetkovich-Reynolds and husband, Richard, of North Versailles; three grandchildren, Ryan Altman and partner, Heather Knupp, of Pittsburgh, Cara Svetkovich and husband, Steven Pfister, of Bethel Park, and Lydia Svetkovich and fiancé, Nathan Emeigh, of Greensburg; two step-grandsons, Michael Reynolds and wife, Jennifer, of White Oak, and Rick Reynolds and wife, Bridget, of North Huntingdon; one great-grandson, Luka; one great-granddaughter, Lucija; three great-step-grandchildren, Joshua, Chelsea and Arabella; sister-in-law, Nancy (William) Ruffner; sister-in-law, Theresa Jean (George) Svetkovich; many nieces and nephews, including her cherished niece, Janie, whom she adored; and her beloved cat, Daisy.  A viewing will be held for the immediate family in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020.  A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, at 11 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, O.S.B., celebrating. Keeping with CDC guidelines, those attending the Mass are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. Burial will be private.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
