Evelyn G. (Hoffer) Thompson, 82, of Homestead, died Friday, February 17, 2023 in the Shadyside Hospital. She was born August 3, 1940, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late John Hoffer, Sr. and Henrietta (Meyers) Hoffer. She enjoyed spending time with her family, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Roger Cohen;; a grandson, Robert E. Perry, Jr.; a great granddaughter, Braelyn Boehme; brother, John Hoffer, Jr.; and sister, Joann Rulli and Priscilla Howe. She is survived by her five children, Debra Cohen of West Mifflin, Richard Cohen of Greensburg, Randall Cohen of Homestead, Dana Wyman of Virginia Beach, VA and Duane Cohen (Maria) of West Mifflin; 12 grandchildren, Chris, Rikki, Chad, Lee, Casey, Robert Charles, Chelsie, Paige, Dalton, Janay, Andrew, and Carissa; 14 great grandchildren; two sisters, Henrietta Magee and Caroline Topper both of Greensburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the family c/o Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., to help with funeral expenses.
