Amil Zuzik

Amil A. Zuzik, 75, of Hannastown, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2023. He was born Nov. 21, 1947, in Greensburg, a son of the late Amil A. and Lillian M. Fordyce Zuzik. Amil was a member of St. Bartholomew Church, a social member of the Hannastown Volunteer Fire Department and the acting treasurer of the Keystone Rod and Gun Club. He was a retired supervisor at Super Valu and served as a deputy warden for more than 40 years with the PA Fish Commission, receiving an award for Deputy of the Year for the state of PA on three separate occasions. He was an avid fisherman, both fresh water and deep sea, having travelled to Alaska and Maine for fishing expeditions. Amil also enjoyed hunting and travelling with family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by an infant sister. He is survived by his twin brother, James V. Zuzik (fiancee, Candi Taylor) of Hannastown, and John W. "Bill" Zuzik (Rebecca), of Greensburg; six nieces and a nephew, Jayme Kuhn (Rick), Debbie Naeger (Scott), Jennifer Robb (Robert), Beth Koller (Jason), Sean Zuzik, Erin Zuzik (Bobbie Wiles) and Katie Zuzik; 15 great-nieces and great-nephews; and his canine companion, Zoey. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Amil from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.  The family of Amil would like to thank the staff and doctor’s of Excela Westmoreland’s 6th and 2nd floor for their kind and compassionate care during his illness.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Bartholomew Church, P.O.
