William Knackstedt

William R. Knackstedt , 87, of Latrobe, died Saturday, December 05, 2020 in the St. Anne Home.  He was born January 13, 1933, in Iliff, Colorado, a son of the late William C. and Emma Herzog Knackstedt.  William loved his family and enjoyed tinkering and working on his cars.  He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War and retired from Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) in Greensburg, where he designed industrial breakers.  William is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Shirley Jean Knackstedt; his children, Linda Stubbs and Lee Knackstedt; his grandchildren, Autumn Stubbs, and Kayley, Amara and Torin Knackstedt.  Condolences may be sent to: Shirley Knackstedt, Care of Brookdale Senior Living, 500 Brouwers Drive, Apartment #82, Latrobe, PA 15650.  There will be no public viewing or services.  William’s family has entrusted his care to the CLEMENT L.
