William D. "Googs" Crimboli , 93, of Greensburg, died Monday, March 6, 2017, in the St. Anne Home. He was born March 12, 1923, in South Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Mary DiPede Ciarimboli. He was retired machinist for Latrobe Steel and a member of St. Bruno's Church. A veteran of the Navy, he served during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Onorato "Nora" Paluzzi Ciarimboli; his wife, Helen Remias Crimboli; a son, Daniel; an infant daughter, Mary Jo; and six brothers, Alfred, John, Alex, Joseph, Frank and James. He is survived by his three children, Robert Crimboli (Joyce), of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Alice Damiano (Donald) and Rita Sabol (John), all of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Natalie Dance (Michael), Angela McCormick (Kevin), Robbi Silvis (Ryan), Donald Damiano III (Sara), Nicholas Damiano (Laura) and Gregory Damiano (Susan); 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dominic Ciarimboli (Jane), of Greensburg; a sister, Mary Heim (Richard), of Ellicott City, Md.; two sisters-in-law, Irene and Susan, both of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of William from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the CLEMENT L. PANATLONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bruno Church. Interment with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 33 will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
