William Colosimo, Sr.

William Colosimo Sr. , 91, of Irwin, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, in the Transitions Healthcare, North Huntington. He was born Dec. 23, 1925, in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Antionette (Veltri) Colosimo. He was a greens keeper at Mt. Odin Golf Course, Greensburg. He was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, VFW Post 33, Knights of Columbus and the Teamsters Local 30. William was an Army veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Karen Hisker and Sheri McCurdy; his companion, Marge Bergvall; four brothers, Pete, Frank, Santo and Tony Colosimo; and four sisters, Angeline and Nellie Colosimo, Rose Dolibois and Mary Fabry. He is survived by his two sons, William "Muzzy" Colosimo Jr. and wife, Sally, of Irwin, and Rick Colosimo and wife, Diane, of Norvelt; grandchildren, Steven, David and John Hisker, William Colosimo III and wife, Lauren, Patrick Feenan and wife, Joyce, Andrew Colosimo and wife, Sara, and Kelly Sottile and husband, Jason; great-grandchildren, Dylan Foster and Noah and Ava Hisker, Jaxon and Kason Sottile, McCall and Mailly Feenan and Francesca Colosimo; two brothers, Louis and George Colosimo; a sister, Tessie Cramer; extended family Tom and his wife, Joy Taylor, and family, Kathy Batsa and family and Randy Rebosky and his wife, Kathleen, and family; and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of William from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020 . Parting prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, in the Our Lady of Grace Church.
