Rose A. (Markulin) Malec , 95, of Greensburg, died Sunday, October 16, 2022 in the Newhaven Court.  She was born October 29, 1926, in Forbes Road, a daughter of the late John M. and Barbara Markulin.  She was a member of Saint Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg.  Prior to retirement, Rose worked as a secretary for United Steelworkers of America District 19 in Greensburg and District 15 in North Versailles.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Malec and seven siblings, Catherine Vidunas, Mary Falcon, Helen Markulin, Nicholas, Joseph, John and Francis Markulin.  She is survived by her stepdaughter, Lisa A. Malec of Monroeville; brother, Thomas Markulin (Ellen) of Cary, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend Rose’s funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, October 21 in Saint Bruno Catholic Church, 1715 Poplar St, South Greensburg.  Everyone please go directly to the Church.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.  The family would like to thank the staff of Newhaven Court and Penn Hospice for their loving kindness and compassionate care of Rose.  Rose’s family has entrusted her care to the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home Inc., Greensburg.  For online condolences / directions, visit us at pantalone.com.
