Robert Bompiani, 72, of South Greensburg, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023 in his home. He was born September 19, 1950, in Greensburg, a son of the late Alfonso and Virginia McCort Bompiani. Bob was an off road mechanic for Penndot for many years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, the Hecla Club and a lifetime member of the NRA. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Bob was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his high school sweetheart, best friend and loving wife of fifty-four years, Arlene B. Stillwell Bompiani; two children, Lisa Bompiani-Smith (Glenn) of Youngwood and Robert Bompiani, Jr. (Crystal) of Greensburg; two grandchildren, Caitlin Bompiani (Kaleb Sands) and Ryan Bompiani (Megan Lewis); three brothers, Timothy Bompiani (Lorraine) of Columbus, OH, William Bompiani of Greensburg and Mark Bompiani (Lynn) of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews. As per Bob’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services.
