Richard A. Rich

Richard A. Rich, 71, of Greensburg, died Monday, December 22, 2025, in Shadyside Hospital. He was born February 11, 1954, in Jeannette, a son of the late Samuel A. and Janice Bematri Rich.

Richard was selfless. He was devoted to his family and never failed to put them first. He loved helping them in any way he could. He was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greensburg and was employed as a wholesale manager for H & K Equipment Company. His knowledge, influence and over 40 years of experience, benefited people across the United States, as well as in other countries.

He was especially passionate about his son, Alan’s, entrepreneurial ventures. He and Alan also shared a love for cars.

In prior years, he enjoyed skiing with his family at local ski resorts. The more recent hobbies he enjoyed were biking and vacationing with his wife, Bonnie, and fishing and golfing with his brother, Mark. He looked forward to daily phone conversations with his sister, Cheryl.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of forty-six and a half years, Bonnie S. Emanuel Rich; his son, Alan M. Rich (fiance, Morgan Patton) of Penn Township; two brothers, Mark Rich (Vicki) of Greensburg and Jerome Rich of Latrobe; sister, Cheryl Fetsko of Jeannette; sister in law, Barbara Baston of North Huntingdon; four nieces and a nephew; and his dog, Holly and his grand dog, Ellie.

Relatives and friends of Richard will be received Saturday December 27, 2025, from Noon until the time of funeral service at 3:30 PM in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601 724-837-0020. Pastor Chris Combs will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his memory to the Memorial Fund of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 246 S. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601 or the Humane Society of Westmoreland County, 139 Humane Society Rd., Greensburg, PA 15601.
