Regina B. 'Flash' (Brahosky) Chicka, 79, of Forbes Road, died Thursday, December 18, 2025, in the Westmoreland Hospital. She was born September 07, 1946, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Joseph V. and Mary Caralli Brahosky.
She was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and, at one time, served as president of the Rosary Altar Society. Regina volunteered at Bingo and later enjoyed time with children as a nanny. After graduating from Greensburg Salem High School in 1964, she lived in Daytona Beach for nearly ten years and worked as a bank teller. While in Daytona, she volunteered to talk to local high schools with the state police about motorcycle-safety importance. She also worked as a teller for Southwest Bank in Greensburg for a time and later cherished her time with children as a nanny. She loved butterflies and attended many releases at the Greensburg Garden Center. Her main passion was riding her Harley-Davidson from nineteen until her mid-sixties.
She is survived by three siblings, Rebecca Answine (Richard), Joseph Brahosky (Brenda), all of Greensburg and Renata Pytlak (Robert) of Delmont; a niece, Ashley Gibson (Jake) of Pittsburgh; a nephew, Zachary Answine (Briana) of Greensburg; many cousins; her longtime companion, Alan 'Doc' Medlock and her cat, Cypress.
Relatives and friends of Regina will be received Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.
Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home Monday 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday December 22, 2025, in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating. Per Regina’s request, please feel free to wear blue jeans and butterflies.
Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
