Raymond Olwell

Raymond Olwell, 73, of North Huntingdon, died Sunday, November 23, 2025, in the Hempfield Manor. He was born May 13, 1952, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Richard A. and Elizabeth Gordon Olwell.

Ray was a loyal member of the Fairmont Hahntown VFD for fifty-five years. He began in the Junior program and joined as a fireman at age 18. Over the years, he held several roles, including treasurer and vice president. His path inspired others, following in his father’s footsteps, as his father first became a firefighter and sparked the family’s long tradition of service.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother; Richard A. Olwell.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty six years, Susie Olwell;a daughter, Stephanie Micklow (John) of North Huntingdon; a son, Jeremy Olwell of North Huntington; siblings Lorrie (Al) Kabana of North Huntington, Jude Olwell of North Huntingdon, Kenneth (Donna) Olwell of Harrison City, James (Karen) Olwell of North Huntington; a special niece, Ashley Dickson and several additional nieces and nephews.

There will be no services.
