Paul Worthington, 81, of Jeannette, died Friday, August 07, 2026, in the St. Anne Home. He was born December 28, 1944, in Johnstown, a son of the late William and Mary Hudak Worthington.
Paul graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh and then received a Bachelor of engineering at Penn State University. He was the owner of the former Manhattan's Bar in Greensburg. While his children were growing up, Paul was active with coaching youth baseball and football for both Jeannette and Penn Township. He also was the high school boy's tennis coach for Franklin Regional and the high school girl's tennis coach for Penn Trafford. He was affectionately known as 'Coach' by many of his former teams. Paul retired from UPMC Presbyterian Hospital after working in the Trauma and Transplant Surgery Department and with the Artificial Heart Research team.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Worthington.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-nine years, Kathleen Y. Mitchell Worthington; his children, Paul B. Worthington (Genevieve) of Natrona Heights and Kimberly Worthington of Greensburg; his five grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob, Nikalus, Damian and Mayala; two great grandchildren, Theodore and Lileth; sister, Virginia Sabotkin of Hickory, NC and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Westmoreland County, 139 Humane Society Rd, Greensburg, PA 15601.
