Melinda S. (Carlson) Halferty, 65, of Grapeville, died Sunday, April 23, 2023 at home. She was born January 01, 1958, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Donald and Ruth M. Campbell Carlson. She was a member of the Greensburg Church of the Brethren where she and her husband sang in the choir. Mindy was a former Registered Nurse for Three Rivers Hospice, Monroeville and Hempfield Manor. She loved working in her yard with her flowers and was very active with Pink Ribbons Friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Daniel Ohler; and two sisters, Leila Zuzik and Nancy Beaufort. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward G. Halferty; four children, Daniel Ohler (Michelle) of Honeybrook, David Ohler (Jana) of Derry, Amanda Stough of Greensburg and Melissa Critchlow of Jeannette; Ed's children, Edward Halferty (Shamma Shakila Rahman) of San Francisco, CA, Jeannie Pace (Sean) of Macungie and Anna Halferty of Greensburg; eight grandchildren Matthew and Mariah Ohler and Lenka and Devin Ohler, Savannah Watkoski, Noah Stough and Sean and Addison Critchlow; brother, John Carlson (Lori) of Greensburg; brother-in-law, James Zuzik of Hannastown; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mindy, Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. Additional viewing will be held Thursday, in the Greensburg Church of the Brethren, 554 Stanton St, Greensburg, (724) 834-2130, from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of services, with Pastor Stephen Parfitt, Officiating.
