Mary Jane Derogatis

Mary Jane (Contic) Derogatis , 80, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. She was born Dec. 7, 1937, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Samuel S. and Sally N. Peruzzi Contic. Mary Jane was an active member of St. Bruno Church and their Rosary Altar Society. She loved traveling and cruising with her husband and also doing children's crafts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas R. Derogatis Jr. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Thomas R. Derogatis; two daughters, Diane Sipes (David) and Cheryl Matson, all of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Jennifer Borgo (Jason), Justin Matson (Heather), Danielle Sipes, Amber Sherman, Stephen Sipes (Michelle) and Christopher Sipes; six great-grandchildren, Van, Selena, Mario, Laila, James and Dean; her brother, Samuel R. Contic (Joan), of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mary Jane from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 12:45 p.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Bruno Church.
