Mary Ellen Thompson

Mary Ellen (Bosio) Thompson , 64, of Greensburg, died Sunday, May 29, 2016, in Westmoreland Manor. She was born Sept. 25, 1951, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Michael A. and Helen Tarasky Bosio. She was a retired secretary for the Greensburg Salem School District, Nicely Elementary School, a member of St. Paul Parish and an active member of the Rosary Confraternity. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred R. Thompson. She is survived by her three brothers, Bill Bosio and wife, Barbara, of Greensburg, Andrew Bosio and wife, Eileen, of Surprise, Ariz., and Michael Bosio and wife, Marie, of Poland, Ohio; her sister, Rebecca Hald and husband, Bill, of New Stanton; her three brothers-in-law, Harry Thompson and wife, Sharon, of New Alexandria, John Thompson, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Ted Thompson and wife, Joanne, of New Alexandria; nieces and nephews, Bill and wife, Lynnann Hald, Michelle Bosio, Harry Jr., John, Todd, Michael, Scott, Jamie, Amy, Kerrie, Chris and Randy Thompson; great- nephews, Derek and Zachary Hald; her goddaughter, Abigail Thompson; and her beloved cats. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mary Ellen from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Parish.
