Mary P. (Alampi) Palazzese, 93, of Greensburg, formerly of Gibbstown, N.J., died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, in St. Anne Home. Born Jan. 7, 1920, in Paulsboro, N.J., she was a daughter of Frank Alampi and Violanda (Gattuso) Alampi. She was formerly employed as a legal secretary with Hannold, Caulfield, Marshall & McDonald, of Woodbury, N.J. She loved crocheting, cooking and taking care of her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Palazzese; a daughter, Rose Callaghan; two sisters, Teresa Battaglia and Jenny Ficcadenti; and a brother, Fred Alampi. She is survived by her two daughters, Yolanda Caruso and husband, Joe, of St. Augustine, Fla., and Bernadette P. Boyle and husband, Dr. Brian, of Greensburg; son-in-law, Paul Callaghan Jr., of Texas; 10 grandchildren, Rosemary Shelburne and husband, Steve, Paul Callaghan III and wife, Tracey, Ben Callaghan and wife, Shawna, Joe B. Caruso, Christina Myers and husband, Roger, Mark, Mary, Michael, Brian and Lana Boyle; 13 great-grandchildren, Paul Callaghan IV, Tommy and Ashley Callaghan, Sophia and Derek Shelburne, Charlotte, Truman and Jack Callaghan, Logan, Arianna, Daniella, Sabina and Cole Myers; a brother, Vince Alampi, of Clearwater, Fla.; a sister, Madaline Grasso, of Westville, N.J.; numerous nieces and nephews; and her best girlfriend, Denise Robbins, of Greensburg. A funeral Mass was celebrated in Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Swedesboro, NJ. Arrangements by the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W.
