Mary Louise (Pepper) Kiser, 95, formally of West Mifflin and Florida, died Sunday, June 04, 2023 at Weatherwood Manor in Greensburg. She was born September 10, 1927, in Duquesne, daughter of the late Samuel Thomas and Elsie Lillian Cheeseman Pepper. Mary Lou loved spending time with her family, including her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who lovingly referred to her as “Old Mama”. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, especially fond of her Pittsburgh Pirates who she started following as a young girl, a passion she shared with her dad. Mary Lou enjoyed crocheting and made over 500 items, such as lap robes, blankets, hats, scarves, mittens and booties for the ‘Stitching Angels’ of the North American Martyr’s Church in Monroeville and other organizations in Florida. She also made afghans for Project Linus and Pat Catan’s Warm-up America. Mary Lou was a Gold Star Mother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Kiser; her son, Robert Thomas Kiser, who lost his life serving in the Vietnam War; and two brothers, Edwin James Pepper and Arthur William Pepper. She is survived by her daughter, Louanne Henchir (Robert) of Champion; three grandchildren, Jeremy Henchir (Nicole) of Plum Boro, Kristie Burgess (Joe) of Murrysville and Bryan Henchir (Keil) of Gibsonia; four great grandchildren, Kate, Becca, Alison and Cole; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will to be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday July 06, 2023 in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, 14679 Lincoln Hwy, Irwin, PA 15642. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Mary Louise’s family has entrusted her care to the Pantalone Funeral Home Inc., Greensburg.
