Mary Jayne Mahoy

Mary Jayne (Myers) Mahoy, 86, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in the Westmoreland Hospital. She was born January 13, 1940, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Frank and Ann Sugent Myers.

Mary Jayne worked for a time at St. Anne's Home as an LPN before leaving to take care of her mother, whose health was failing. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church and enjoyed working in her flower garden. Mary Jayne loved entertaining family and friends. She always made time for anyone who would stop by, and her home was always “open.” Those who knew her knew that she was strong, caring, loud and often very opinionated. She was like nobody else.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jacqueline Kemerer.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of sixty-seven years, Regis E. Mahoy; daughter, Tamera Andrejcik (Jeffrey) of Greensburg; son, Regis Mahoy (Denise) of Irwin; son in law, John Kemerer (Lisa) of Jeannette: five grandchildren, Christopher Andrejcik (Isabel), Emily Roth (Cameron), Regis Mahoy (Emily), Mason Kemerer (Kaylin), and Josh Ferrar; three great grandchildren who she loved dearly, Lillie, August and Daisy; niece, Sandi Martin (Thomas); four very dear cousins, Whizzy, Melinda, Charlene and Betty Ann; and three special friends, Patty, Lisa and Sillett.

Relatives and friends of Mary Jayne are invited to attend her funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Friday October 02, 2026, in Our Lady of Grace Church, Greensburg.

Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the Dialysis Team that took such good care of their wife and mother. Their compassion and kindness will not be forgotten.
