Lawrence S. Kostley

Lawrence S. Kostley, 85, of Greensburg, died Saturday, August 08, 2026, in the Westmoreland Hospital. He was born December 25, 1940, in Latrobe, a son of the late John C. and Mary H. Stiliha Kostley.

Larry was a professor at Community College of Allegheny County on the Northside, teaching Public Speaking. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Church.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of fifty-seven years, Carol A. Reed Kostley; his loving daughter, Sarah Gilroy (Jeffry) of Greensburg; beloved grandson, Jacob Gilroy; brother, Roger Kostley (Barbara) of White Oak; two sisters-in-law, Jane Reed and Mary Jo Reed, both of Greensburg; two nephews and several cousins.

Relatives and friends of Larry will be received Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.

Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home Thursday at 9:15 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, celebrating.

Interment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the ICU nurses, doctors and critical care staff at Westmoreland Hospital who took such great care of Larry during his stay.
