Lawrence Dominick

Lawrence E. "Larnie" Dominick , 79, of Hannastown, died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017, in the Select Specialty Hospital, Latrobe. He was born April 20, 1938, in Crabtree, a son of the late Charles and Nellie Keller Dominick. He was a retired machinist for Latrobe Die Cast, a member of St. Bartholomew Church and had served as an usher. Larnie served in the Army. He enjoyed watching all of the Pittsburgh sports teams. He loved coloring and painting with his granddaughter and, in his earlier years, he was an avid golfer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Edward and Anthony Dominick; and a sister, Martha Dominick. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Lia M. (Ferigo) Dominick; his son, Randal Dominick, of Hannastown; his daughter, Nadine M. Plaitano (Leonard), of Ladera Ranch, Calif.; his beloved granddaughter, Gianna Plaitano, whom he cherished; two brothers, Raymond Dominick, of Crabtree, and Richard Dominick (Jeanie), of Latrobe; two sisters, Tillie Monstrola, of Jeannette, and Betty Maruca, of Slickville; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Dominick of Crabtree, and Betty Dominick, of Jeannette; numerous nieces and nephews; and three goddaughters, Caren Kusma, Cindy Kolowich and Annette Jioio. The family would like to thank Tom McChesney (Connie), of Crabtree for their very special friendship over the years, and also thank the doctors and staff of both Latrobe Hospital ICCU and Select Specialty Hospital for their care. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Larnie from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020 . Parting prayers will be held at 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery. Larnie's family has entrusted his care to the Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., Greensburg.
