Kathleen R. Shimatzki

Kathleen R. Shimatzki, 77, of Greensburg, died Thursday, May 02, 2024, in her home.  She was born April 05, 1947, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late B. Thomas and Kathleen R. Carroll Nowalk.  Kathleen worked alongside her parents and family at Inn American, New Stanton and retired as a real estate agent for Century 21.  She belonged to the Heritage Baptist Church in Jeannette and to several quilt clubs in the area.  Kathleen enjoyed sewing and quilting and loved spending time with her pets.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Shimatzki; two brothers, B. Thomas Nowalk, Jr. and William R. Nowalk; a sister, Mary Janice Nowalk and a nephew, Aaron Nowalk.  She is survived by her four sons, Raymond Thrush (Toni), Stephen J. Shimatzki (Suzanne), Thomas W. Shimatzki (Hollie) and Kevin Kroll., several grandchildren.; a brother, David M. Nowalk (Patty); a sister-in-law, Janice Nowalk and several nieces and nephews.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Kathleen, Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.  A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Herritage Baptist Church, 1015 Lowry Ave., Jeannette, PA 15644 with Pastor Robert Ross officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society PO Box 862, Carnegie, PA  15106, or Bridges Hospice PPG Program, 4130 Monroeville Blvd., Monroeville, PA 15146.   Kathleen’s family has entrusted her care to the Pantalone Funeral Home Inc., Greensburg.  For online condolences / directions, visit us at pantalone.com.
