Karen Marie Cammarata

Karen Marie (Sheffel) Cammarata, 77, of Galena, OH, died Monday, February 02, 2026, in the Mount Carmel St. Anne's Hospital. She was born October 21, 1948, in Fostoria, OH, daughter of the late Keith LeRoy and Claudice Marie Emahiser Sheffel, Findlay, Ohio.

Karen worked as an administrative assistant for Texaco in Duluth, Georgia for several years. Karen’s favorite past times include traveling, home decorating and shopping. Karen lived many years with Multiple Sclerosis and nerve pain, facing its challenges with courage, determination and a positive attitude. Karen was known for her humor, kindness and generosity. She cherished moments with her friends and family and her presence will be deeply missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, David Sheffel, Atlantic City, NJ.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of thirty years, Frank A. Cammarata III; her daughter, Bridget Watson (Tom) of Glastonbury, CT; Frank's children, Frank Cammarata IV (Missi) of Grove City, OH, Anna Dawn Cammarata of Columbus, OH and Danny Cammarata (Beth) of Lees Summit, MO; grandchildren, Madeleine, Alex and Jack Watson, Kayla Sparks (Nicholas), Kelsi Pope (Jake), Karlee Cammarata (Dae), Benjamin and Clive Cammarata; great grandchildren, Sadie, Emmie, Paislee, Colt and Reign; sister, Debra Marquet; brother, Kevin Sheffel, both of Findlay, OH; and a very dear friend and caregiver, Laurie Wright and several nieces and nephews.

All services will be private, and entombment will take place in the Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National MS Society.
