Karen A. Boehme , 71, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, April 19, 2022. She was born Feb. 18, 1951, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Alfred H. and Rose Marie Panichella Boehme. Karen was a member of Our Lady of Grace Church, a member of the VFW Post 33 Auxiliary, and a volunteer for the United Way of Westmoreland County. She was a 1969 graduate of Hempfield Area High School and a 1970 graduate of Pittsburgh Beauty Academy. She started her career as a stylist at Annette's Beauty Salon in Greensburg, and then went on to work at Kaufmann's Adoria Salon at Westmoreland Mall from 1977 until her retirement in 2009. Karen was always the life of the party and could light up any room. She was an amazing baker and enjoyed sharing her delicious confections. She loved music, playing board games and cards with her family and having lunch dates with her friends, "The HA-HA Girls." The true loves of her life were her niece, nephew and great-nephews. She was their biggest fan and treated them as if they were her own. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Rebecca J. Casto; and an infant sister. She is survived by her loving sister, Jeanne Ramaley, of Latrobe; a nephew, Bill McManamy Jr., of Naples, Fla.; a niece, Jodi Ritenour (Jason), of Latrobe; two great-nephews, James and Eric Spillar; two step-great-nieces, Isabella and Leigha Ritenour; two uncles, Ed "Sonny" Boehme and Thomas Panichella (Louise); and several cousins and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Karen from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
