Joseph Perkovich, Jr., 93, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 17, 2025. Joe was born on September 20, 1931, in Pittsburgh, to the late Mary and Josef Perkovich of Zagreb, Croatia. He was a graduate of Hampton High School, class of 1949 and served in the Army at Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn, NY. Joe was employed at Sears Roebuck & Co. for 40 plus years until he retired in the early 90’s. His family was the center of his life, and he always enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandchildren. His other passion was golf, and he was a member at Hannastown Golf Club for numerous years. He was a parishioner at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Michael Perkovich and son Paul Perkovich. He is survived by former spouse Mary Freeman, the mother of his children, daughter Susan (Timothy) Burriss of Rochester, MN and daughter in law Jennifer Perkovich of Joppa, MD as well as his grandchildren Daniel (Eleanor) Burriss, Paulina Perkovich, Jensen Perkovich and Bradley Burriss. Also survived are numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Redstone to support residents in need.
