Joe was a member of the Our Lady of Grace Church. He was a lifelong member of the Hilltop Social Club where he worked as a bartender for several years. Every evening he could be found at the club in “his chair” from 5:55 p.m. until 8 p.m., enjoying his two or three Yuengling’s while catching up with his buddies. He loved his garden and his fig trees but loved his family most of all. Joe enjoyed making wine and brandy and canning his prize tomatoes, a task that he taught his daughter Lisa. In his younger years he loved to go camping with his wife.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maryann (Murtland) Iapalucci.
He is survived by two daughters, Lisa Saunders (Michael) and Shelley Iapalucci, all of Greensburg; two granddaughters, Nina Marie Leithner (Ken), and Vanessa Rose Saunders (Michael Doench); and a grandson, Caleb Eric Key; three great grandchildren, Emmit John, Nora Josephine, and Melody Ann Leithner and Jim Krunszyinsky (Theresa) of Greensburg, who was like a son to him; a niece, Sharon (Jonathon) Berg of England and two nephews, Mark Murtland (Nancy) of Greensburg and Jeffrey Murtland (Mary) of Worcester, MA.
