Jean T. Gaertner

Jean T. (Thurman) Gaertner, 76, of Greensburg, died Saturday, August 29, 2026 at home. She was born in Birmingham, AL, a daughter of the late Berny and Sara Elliott Thurman.

Jean loved animals and had been a member of the American Quarter Horse Association. She was also a former dog groomer at PetSmart. She enjoyed tending to her flower garden, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Tracey D. Shields in 2020.

She is survived by her daughter, Tara Errett of Ruffsdale; three grandchildren, Devin Lauffer and Michael and Kylie Errett; brother, Joseph Thurman (Catherine) of France; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Dawn Shaffer and Sandy Errett and her K-9 companions, Finney and Fancy.

Relatives and friends of Jean will be received Wednesday September 02, 2026, from 1 p.m., until the time of funeral service at 2:00 p.m., in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601 724-837-0020.

Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
