James Littlejohn, Jr.

James A. "Junior" Littlejohn Jr ., 88, of Greensburg, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Greensburg, a son of the late James A. Littlejohn Sr. and Rebecca Murrell Littlejohn. He was the head of Security for Seton Hill University, retiring after 25 years, and a member of First Unity Church of God in Christ in Jeannette. He also served in the Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Vera Burruss, Dorothy Joshua, Thomas Littlejohn, Robert Littlejohn, Jean Littlejohn, Thomas (Sonny) Littlejohn, Thelma Littlejohn and Phyllis Morefield. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Thelma Davison Littlejohn; three children, James A. Littlejohn III, of Greensburg, Janet and husband, Dr.  Howard Slaughter Jr., and JoAnn Littlejohn, of Greensburg; four grandsons, James IV (Andrea), Darrick (Alysha) and their mother, Donna Littlejohn, and Howard and Jonathan Slaughter; three great-grandchildren, Jada, Isaac and Brentton; two sisters, Dolores Berger, of Greensburg, and Betty Tatum, of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of James from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, (724-837-0020). Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the in the First Unity Church of God in Christ, 1500 Penn Ave., Jeannette, PA 15644, with Elder Reed Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Hillview Cemetery, Greensburg. James' family has entrusted his care to the Pantalone Funeral Home Inc., Greensburg.
