Helen M. (Yencho) Raneri, 95, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at home. She was born August 08, 1929, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late John and Mary Mitrik Yencho.
Helen's kitchen was a haven of Slovak and Italian aromas where she crafted hearty breads and delicious biscotti, bringing family and friends together around her table. A devout woman, her faith guided her generous spirit, always with an open heart to those she cherished. She had been a manager for food service at the former Bovard Elementary School with the HASD. She loved going to casinos, but her greatest joy came from traveling to Naples, FL with her children and grandchildren and cooking and baking for her family and friends.
In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A. Joseph Raneri; daughter, Fran Dott; son-in-law, Joseph Neurohr; grandson, Joey Casagrande; brother, John Yencho; and sister, Margaret Miller.
She is survived by her five children, Mary Kay Neurohr (fiancé, Art Gardner), Joyce Casagrande (Rich), Rose Marie Moffa (David), Sandy DeFrancesco (Charlie) and Jennine Raneri; son-in-law, Jim Dott; twelve grandchildren, Tracey Gaskey (Bart), Karen Scarton (Ryan), Katie Aretta (Chris), Kristi Rose (Justin), Joseph Neurohr, Jr., Jeffrey Neurohr (Katie Hedman), Richie and Danny Casagrande, David Moffa, Carmelina Brunner (Paul) , Charlie DeFrancesco and Gina Savino (Nick); eleven great grandchildren, Vincent and Aaron Gaskey, Anthony, Marco and Dominic Scarton, Natalie and Nathan Rose, Olivia and Tyler Aretta, Josef Brunner and a highly anticipated great grandson in December; brother, George Yencho of MA and several nieces and nephews.
