Grace Catherine Vensel

Grace Catherine (Castiglia) Vensel, 94, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Redstone Highlands – Greensburg. She was born August 25, 1931, in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Ignatius and Anna Ortolano Castiglia.

Grace was a former member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. She was an avid reader and lifelong learner who found joy in nature, cherished her dogs, and loved shopping.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Vensel and a sister, Julie Chaney.

She is survived by a son, Leo and his wife, Chrissy of Greensburg; two nieces, Vivian Cercere (Hank) and Annmarie Clark (Stephen) and a nephew, Joey Chaney.

Relatives and friends of Grace are invited to attend her memorial Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday July 17, 2026 in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Please go directly to the Church.
