Gerald B. "Joe" Pritts

Gerald B. "Joe" Pritts, 83, of Greensburg, died Sunday, Nov. 5, 2023, in the Newhaven Court surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 15, 1940, in Latrobe, a son of the late Blaine J. and Edna Mae Hauger Pritts. Joe loved his church and was a member of the St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree. He was a retired foreman for Donegal Construction and also served in the Army National Guard. Joe was an avid woodworker and enjoyed lovingly making many pieces of furniture for his family and friends. His other pleasures were spending time outdoors, doing yard work and feeding the animals. His greatest joy was attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He was their biggest fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Annette I. “Toni” Pritts in 2006. He is survived by his two children, Nicole P. Bart (Sean), of Irwin, and Todd M. Pritts (Jessica), of Greensburg; four grandchildren, Brandon and Maggie Bart and Jacob and Sidney Pritts; sister, Sandra F. Shaffer (Jack), of Indian Lake; in-laws, Fran Iezzi, of Greensburg, and Donald Iezzi (Debra), of Jeannette; and several nieces, nephews and special friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Joe from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in the St. Bartholomew Church with Fr. Justin Matro OSB celebrating. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. The family would like to thank the staff of New Haven Court and Bridges Hospice for their loving and compassionate care during Joe's stay. It was much appreciated, and it did not go unnoticed.
