Fred J. "Curt" Petrosky, 87, of Greensburg, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in the Presbyterian University Hospital. He was born July 13, 1928, in Derry, a son of the late Charles and Rose Walbaum Petrosky. Fred was an Army veteran and a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Trumbull Corporation of Pittsburgh and belonged to the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 66. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Donald and Gerald Petrosky; and three sisters, Margaret Campbell, Dorothy Barkley and Anna Marie Paradis. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eleanor M. Sorice Petrosky; three children, Darlene Orszulak, of Latrobe, Lori Sendro and husband, Dan, of Greensburg, and Curt Petrosky and wife, Mary Beth, of Harrison City; seven grandchildren, Elaina, Zakk, Ryan, Derek, Kevin, Caitlin and Bridget; a sister; Ruth Weaver, of Latrobe; and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Fred from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. Parting prayers will be held at 9 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery, Greensburg.
