Frankie Aviles Sr, 59, of Brooklyn, New York, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2025.
Born on March 15, 1966 in Brooklyn, Frankie was the beloved child of Norma and Gilbert Aviles Sr. He grew up in the Bronx, NY, but later moved to Pennsylvania to be with his children and grandchildren.
Frankie will be remembered for his wit and sense of humor and his dedication to his family and his dogs, Fang and Walnut. He brought joy to all who knew him.
Frankie is survived by Yolanda Cruz, his best friend and his children, Elisa Smith, Robert Rosado, Luis Del Valle, Yolanda Aviles, Frankie Aviles, Iesha Hudspath and Ryan Aviles. Also, his grandchildren Carlos Wojcik, Keith Reynolds Jr., Sky Harshman, Dillon Harshman, Brandon Knesh, Ryan Smith, Danika Rosado, Jaydee Michael and Christiana Elizabeth, his sister, Francine Brash and his brothers, Gilbert Aviles, Jr., Kevin Cruz and Kelly Cruz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norma and Gilbert Aviles Sr. and his grandchildren, Isabella Aviles and Lanaya Nikole.
A service to celebrate Frankie's life will be held at a later date, to be determined so that all of his friends and family can celebrate together.
