Esther P. (Kolbosky) Mascherma, 82, of Greensburg, died Friday, September 6, 2024, in Westmoreland Hospital. She was born June 29, 1942, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary Petrina Kolbosky. Esther was a faithful member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and sang in the choir. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending her time cooking and keeping a nice home for her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Louis C. Mascherma; four brothers, Rudolph, Jr., Louis, Eugene and Larry Kolbosky; four sisters, Martha Bisko, Virginia Koshir, Sharon Shirey and Anna Peksa and her beloved granddog, Myron. She is survived by her three sons, Vince Mascherma (Sheryl), Aaron Mascherma, all of Latrobe and Jerome Mascherma (Tracy Balcerek) of Greensburg; sister, Bernadine Blaszkowski of Greensburg; sisters-in-law, Charlotte and Jeannie Kolbosky; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Esther, Tuesday, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020. Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 2 p.m. in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. Interment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.
