Esther Bungard

Esther (Duda) Bungard, 92, of Luxor, died Monday, April 20, 2026, in the Westmoreland Hospital. She was born October 01, 1933, in Bovard, a daughter of the late Emery Duda, Sr. and Anna Gamrak Duda.

Esther was a member of St. Bartholomew Church and loved her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Esther lived a life defined by love, resilience, and quiet strength. She was known for her kindness, her sense of humor, and the way she made everyone around her feel at home.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. 'Jock' Bungard in 2007; four brothers, Paul, Steve, Joey and Emery Duda; and three sisters, Anne Patterson, Margaret Atkins and Susan Rausch.

She devoted much of her life to her family, whom she cherished above all else. She is survived by her children, her daughter, Cindy (Monte) Elliott of Greensburg, her son Dale Bungard, of Greensburg and her daughter, Brenda (Sean) Donahue of Luxor; grandchildren, Randy Elliott (Michelle) of Irwin, Caitlin Donahue & fiancé (John) of Greensburg and Brittany Donahue (Josh) of Crabtree. Three great grandchildren Aliea, Jase, and Jaxson Elliott and one sister Agnes (Dee) Kalp of Youngwood and several nieces and nephews.

Her presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the lives she touched.

Relatives and friends of Esther will be received Thursday April 23, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral service at Noon in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601 724-837-0020. Fr. Justin Matro, OSB, will officiate.

Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
