Ellen Wimbush

Ellen L. Wimbush , 94, of Greensburg, died Thursday, March 9, 2017, at home.  She was born Aug. 30, 1922, in Hannastown, a daughter of the late Silas and Margaret Dark Wimbush. She was a member of Greater Parkview Church and retired from the Westmoreland County Courthouse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, John, Robert, Oliver, George and William Wimbush; four sisters, Dorothy Rollins, Laura June Willis, Nedra Runner and Jacqueline Kirkling; and her great-grandson, Jaylen Isaac Gandy-Jones. Ellen is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Evelyn "Puddin" Jones (Myron Sr); three grandchildren, Kelly Jones, Myron Jones II (Amethyst) and Michelle Jones; and a great-granddaughter, Donyisha Jones.  She was expecting another great-granddaughter in May and is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her devoted godson, Alvin Kirkling. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Ellen from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home with Bishop Carl E. Jones Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
