Earnest Jones

Earnest M. Jones , 88, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born March 19, 1928, in Whiteville, N.C., a son of the late Ervine J. and Lela Mae Lennon Jones. He was a retired tunnel supervisor in the heavy construction field. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son, Earnest Jones and wife, Deborah, of Georgia; his daughter, Pandora Johnson, of Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Clara Reed, of Greensburg, Dolores Jones, of Texas, and Beulah Simmons, of New York; a brother, Earl Jones, of Homestead; a Godbrother, Sharby Shillings, of Greensburg; and several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Earnest from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CLEMENT L. PANTALONE FUNERAL HOME INC., 409 W. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg, PA 15601, 724-837-0020. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Rest Land Memorial Park, Monroeville.
