Donald Vincent Kokoska, 85, of Greensburg, died Saturday, May 23, 2026, in the Mountain View Memory Care Center. He was born June 19, 1940, in Greensburg, a son of the late James and Margaret Matyas Kokoska.
Don was a graduate of Greensburg High School and was a longtime member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral. He was a retired salesman for Charlie Brothers/Supervalu. He and Barb enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren, travelling to area beaches and enjoying beautiful sunsets and nature.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James, Richard and Joseph Kokoska and his sister, Dorothy Woodward.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Ann Smith Kokoska, with whom he celebrated sixty one years of marriage on May 1, 2026; his two sons, Donald J. Kokoska of Southwest Greensburg and Scott A. Kokoska (Betty) of Greensburg; six grandchildren, Dylan, Ryan and Paul Kokoska, Taylor Dills (Ryan), Zachary Kokoska (Lexi) and Brooke Kokoska; a great grandson, Caden Dills and a highly anticipated great grandson, Kash Kokoska in August; several nieces and nephews; and his favorite furry friend and constant companion, Callie, his little 7 pound ball of love.
Relatives and friends of Don will be received Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.
Prayers of transfer will be said in the funeral home on Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday May 27, 2026, in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.
Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mt. View Memory Care and Bristol Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Don over the past month.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Humane Society of Westmoreland County, 139 Humane Society Rd, Greensburg, PA 15601.
