Dolores Zider

C. Dolores Zider , 97, of Greensburg, died Sunday, June 18, 2017 in Cleveland, OH.  She was born September 20, 1919, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Lucy (Montagano) Fanelli.  With the passing of Dolores, we have lost a woman of high integrity and strong moral compass, who spent more time doing for and thinking of others than herself.  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and various organizations associated with the church over the years.  Prior to working at Westmoreland Hospital, she managed the handbag department of the former Troutman's.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew A. Zider; her son, David A. Zider; five siblings, Salvatore 'Sam' Fanelli, Mary Findle, Antoinette Moore, Jane McCann, Pasquale 'Pat' Fanelli.  She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and John Read  of Shaker Heights, OH; the most special person to her, her granddaughter, Lucie Burkham Read of New York, NY; a brother, Frank Fanelli (Maryanne) of Jeannette; and a number of nieces, nephews, and special friends.  Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Dolores, Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Clement L. Pantalone Funeral Home, Inc. 409 W. Pittsburgh Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, (724) 837-0020.
