Deborah S. McCurdy

Deborah S. (Hawes) McCurdy, 76, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the Westmoreland Hospital. She was born February 26, 1950, in Ceredo, WV, a daughter of the late Edmund and Faye Porter Hawes.

Deborah worked as the Head Custodian for Greensburg Salem School district. Her faith in God was deep.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Richard C. McCurdy, her brother Oscar Hawes, and sister Linda Hawes.

She is survived by her two children, Robert M. McCurdy of Greensburg and Wendy F. Galley (Brian) of Smithton; her two grandchildren, Earl and Whitney Galley; her great grandson Everitt Galley; her brother Rod Hawes (Chris); and several nieces and nephews.

All services were private.

Inurnment will be in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
