David Ray Wodoslawsky, 76, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, November 21, 2023 in his home. He was born July 14, 1947, in Evansville, Indiana, a son of the late John and Mary E. Halter Wodoslawsky. Dave was a 1965 graduate of Hempfield High School. He retired from the City of Greensburg after more than thirty years of dedicated service as a Building Code Inspector. He was an avid teacher and student of Ballroom dancing and participated in several local Dancing with the Stars events. His love of all genres of music was evident when he would DJ with his daughter, Carrie. He was generous to a fault and was a very dedicated and amazing father and grandfather. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Joni Spells. He is survived by his children, Carrie Beranek (Rich) of Rostraver Township and Dustin Wodoslawsky of Latrobe; his grandchildren, Tyler Beranek (Ashley Marinos), Laurel Beranek and Connor Wodoslawsky; brother, John Wodoslawsky (Candice) of Albany, NY; brother-in-law, Everett Spells of Salisbury, MD; several nieces and nephews; and many many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of David, Tuesday from 10 am until the time of the funeral service at 11 am, in Christ’s Church, 145 N. Main Street, Greensburg, PA 15601, with Fr. Jeff Wylie, officiating. Inurnment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg with full military honors.
