David Staats

David J. Staats , 57, of Greensburg, died tragically along with his mother, in a house fire on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born March 29, 1964, in Greensburg, a son of the late William J. Staats and Helena Kostelnik Staats. He was a graduate of Greensburg Salem High School. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Staats; and his nephew, Bradford Staats. He is survived by his brother, William Staats Sr. (Belinda), of Greensburg; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of David at 11 a.m. Friday in the Calvary Hill Cemetery Chapel, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, officiating. Keeping with CDC guidelines, those attending the funeral are required to wear face masks and practice social distancing. David's family has entrusted his care to the CLEMENT L.
