David J. Soltis , 62, of Jeannette, died Thursday, July 13, 2017, in Allegheny General Hospital. He was born Sept. 20, 1954, in Natrona Heights, a son of Leona Kardos Soltis, of East Vandergrift, and the late John Soltis. He retired as a district manager for Denny's Restaurants and was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral and the Youngwood Sportsman Club. David enjoyed spending time with his family, was a loving husband and father and was looking forward to the birth of his first granddaughter. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cheryl Soltis; his daughter, Lauren Rumbaugh (Vance), of Belle Vernon; two sisters, Karen Matviko (Greg), of West Leechburg, and Barbara Antoniono (Dom), of Oklahoma Borough; two sisters-in-law, Melinda Miller (Richard) and Marcie Painter (Richard), all of Apollo; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public viewing. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of David at his funeral Mass, to be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday July 18, 2017, in the Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.
