Betty Tatum

Betty R. (Littlejohn) Tatum, 87, of Whiteville, N.C., formerly of Greensburg, died Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022. She was born Sept. 8, 1934, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James A. Littlejohn, Sr. and Rebecca Murrell Littlejohn. Betty enjoyed doing artwork, word search puzzles and reading. She was Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ervalee Tatum; three children, Jeffery and Elizabeth Tatum and Ervalee Tatum Jr.; siblings, James A. Littlejohn Jr., Thomas, Robert and Thomas (Sonny) Littlejohn, Vera Burruss, Dorothy Joshua, Jean Littlejohn, Thelma Littlejohn, Phyllis Morefield and Donna Brown. She is survived by her son, the Rev. Jerome Littlejohn (Renee), of Monroeville; a daughter, Bonnie McNeill (Jeffery), of Sanford, N.C.; a sister, Dolores Berger, of Greensburg; and 25 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Betty, from 10 to 11 a.m. the time of services with the Rev. Arnold Ruffin officiating, Friday, Aug. 26, in the CLEMENT L.
